a little about me
I like to say that I make stuff pretty.
It's the most honest way to put it.
I backed into designing presentations by way of being an English Education major that ran a small business for 10 years and, after a couple of years running the mailroom at an ad agency, was asked to join the new business team developing presentations for pitches. Now I use stories to help businesses succeed through their marketing.
I have worked side-by-side with hundreds of the best minds and presenters in the business - always challenging, learning and growing to create consistently better presentations. As a result, I have become adept at communicating complex ideas simply, clearly and elegantly while always focusing on what matters most: the audience. The audience is the hero of every presentation and it's my job to help you guide and engage them along the way.
Some of the maxims I apply to work:
-
Always do your homework
-
The audience is always the hero
-
Most presentations suck (but it's not your fault)
-
Branding is not putting your logo in the corner
-
Less is more (unless more is more)
-
Don't be afraid of white space
-
Bullets = boredom
After doing this for 15 years I pulled together a lot of info, experience, understanding, inside secrets and industry know-how. I revisited my past as an education major and created workshops that can help anyone be better at developing, designing and delivering presentations. As much as I love designing presentations I am happiest when teaching.
Drop me a line and let's talk about how I might be able to help you and your company.
